Växthus på himmelsk höjd

Greenhouse at heavenly height

Greenhouse becomes conservatory on roof terrace – a wonderful opportunity to use the terrace all year round. On a roof terrace in Saltsjöqvarn, outside Stockholm, one of our greenhouses has been standing for a few years. This is a story in pictures about how it all came together.

One of the more spectacular greenhouse installations we have done is on a terrace on the 7th floor of Saltsjökvarn, just outside Stockholm. It is a fantastic place with a stunning view of the city and water. However, since it is quite windy on the terrace, the family who live in the apartment never really enjoyed staying there.

They then contacted Sweden Green House to investigate the possibility of creating a conservatory with an orangery feel on their terrace. Sweden Green House helped to produce the relevant documents and apply for a building permit. As soon as the application was approved, the construction of the frame began, a greenhouse with a gable roof against the existing house facade and which is approximately 24 square meters in size. The greenhouse, or orangery, was fitted with insulating glass to ensure its use all year round. With this investment, the family has gained 24 square meters of larger accommodation, where the conservatory provides that extra quality of maximum light flow, wind protection and a feeling of greenery and relaxation. Take a look at the pictures from this exciting project and let yourself be inspired.
